The 2010 Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson compact sport-utility vehicle ("SUV") is all-new for the 2010 model year. Its bolder new style is inspired by Hyundai's new overall design theme called "fluidic sculpture". The look emphasizes sportiness, prominent body creases to make the design distinct, and aerodynamics.

The new Tucson is larger and more powerful than the 2009 model. It is 4.5 inches longer, 3 inches lower, and 1 inch wider than the 2009 model. Under the hood, the Tucson has 36 more horsepower than last years model. Impressively, despite offering more room and more power, the new Tucson is 64 pounds lighter, in front-wheel drive, four-cylinder form than the 2009 model. With two-wheel drive, the new Tucson is rated at 31 miles per gallon the freeway.

The 2010 Tucson is a definite competitor in the crossover compact SUV class. It offers more interior room than the Ford Escape. It also offers slightly more horsepower than the Escape and Nissan Rogue. On the flip side, it offers slightly less space and horsepower than the Toyota RAV-4 and Honda CR-V. All of these models have between 170 and 180 horsepower in four-cylinder form. Only the Toyota RAV-4 offers a V-6 option among these vehicles. Hyundai has discontinued the V-6 option for the new Tucson.

Standard features in the 2010 Tucson include Downhill Brake Control Hillstart Assist, Bluetooth, and an improved all-wheel drive system. A six-speed automatic transmission is also standard. New options for 2010 include a panoramic sunroof and a touch-screen navigation system.

The Tucson offers two model choices; the GLS and the Limited, both in two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive form. The Limited model has such amenities as leather seats, larger wheels, panoramic sunroof eight-way power driver's seat, a rear camera, and a 6.5-inch touch-screen navigation system, among other features.

Hyundai Elantra Tops Best Used Car List

Hyundai redesigned their flagship car, the Elantra in 2001, and again, in 2007. Up to that point, Hyundai barely made any impact on the mported car market. These models were popular with the younger generation who found a way to get into a new car for a price they actually could afford.

As time has gone on and Hyundai has been busy adding new models to their stable, their new car price tag has risen into the mid-priced range. The Elantra, in particular, has made a tremendous impression on the first-time drivers and the new car buyers, alike. The Hyundai Elantra presents a peppy performance and a comfortable, tight ride. Even in the northern climates, the Elantra has shown its versatility on all kinds of road conditions without a single misstep.

The Elantra has been seen in several amenity levels, GL, GLS, LIMITED and GT. These are all generally a four-door sedan compact vehicle with leather interior in the Limited and GT models. The seats are extremely comfortable and boast electric adjustments as you would find in a far more expensive luxury brand.

Hyundai is here to stay and if the public has any say, watch out for even more advancements and fuel efficency in the future.

Hyundai Elantra is also being found to be an excellent used car purchase and the search for them is growing in popularity. Their safety rating has been on the rise and their crash test scores are being raved about over at the major car report sites. You can find used Hyundai Elantras in your local classfied ads, at the used car dealers (paying premium price), and at local car auction. The best thing about the used car auctions is that you can find your Hyundai Elantra for a fraction of its actually book value.

Remember, used cars end up at public and government car auctions, usually, due to financial repossession. These vehicles are generally late model, low mileage, and still under warranty. Take a moment to learn more about used car auctions and how you could find a Hyundai Elantra for your next vehicle.

The 2010 Hyundai Elantra

One of the best benefits of a 2010 Hyundai Elantra is that the interior is more reminiscent of a lot more expensive sedan. The interior build quality and materials are very nice to touch and look at. The only downside is that there aren't more options to put in the dashboard and instrument clusters. Seating is very reasonable for passengers in the rear who should be able to sit comfortably for long trips. Both the front passenger and driver should be comfortable as well with seats that conform to just about any body type.

Under the hood consumers will enjoy a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that gives out up to 138 horsepower at 136 pound feet of torque. There is a 5 speed manual transmission that comes standard on basic models, while both higher packages come with an optional 4 speed automatic. For a smaller car, it is capable of doing 0-60 mpg in a modest 8.4 seconds. Fuel economy ranges from 26 mpg city to 35 mpg highway. Those numbers may not be the best in class, but they certainly aren't the worst either.

2010 Hyundai Elantra Review

The 2010 Hyundai Elantra comes in sportier Touring as well as sedan versions. Both the types have similar size, but they differ in terms of price only. It is remodeled and has become considerably larger in all aspects such as length, breadth as well as height. But, despite the increase in physical dimensions, it is still considered as a midsize sedan.

Hyundai started manufacturing Elantra Touring wagon in 2009, while the 2010 model is latest version that is going to be launched this year. The Elantra Touring car is a five-door hatchback with the style of European both at exterior and interior as well as feel. In comparison to other cars of Hyundai, the touring model has many differences; though all are using and building on same power train and platform.

Considering the performance of 2010 Hyundai Elantra, a gutsy 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 138-horsepower was incorporated in the vehicle, and it was paired to 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. While driving the car at low speeds, the engine is quiet and smooth; but at higher speeds, the engine is somewhat bloomy, a little loud, and not as quite as the sporty vehicles. The Hyundai Elantra Touring models have a special calibration with bigger size stabilizer bars that gives a sporty feel.

On both the models, the system of power steering works well. The design improvements in components such as low-friction devices, a smart alternator, and taller/revised gear ratios with enhanced engineering calibration. It has 8 percent higher fuel economy than last year and provides 26/35 mpg in city and highways respectively.

2011 Hyundai Elantra

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra is turning heads and those that once eyed the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla when looking for a compact sedan are moving towards the 2011 Elantra. Newly redesigned on the inside and out the 2011 Hyundai Elantra is one great compact sedan.

Available as either the 4-door Elantra sedan of the 5-door Elantra Touring the 2011 Elantra is built with style and innovation in mind. The exterior design is based on the 2011 Sonata which has already proved itself in sales since its release a year ago. There is no doubt that the new Elantra will have no trouble keeping up with its older sibling.

The 2011 Elantra is built with a 1.8-Liter, 4-cylinder engine that will deliver seven percent greater horsepower than its predecessors. With its available manual or automatic transmission the Elantra will get an amazing 29 miles per gallon city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway. This standard gas mileage exceeds that of any of its competitors.

The 2011 Elantra also boasts more interior space than either the Honda Civic or the Toyota Corolla. In fact, because the 2011 Elantra has so much leg room the government classifies it as a midsize car instead of a compact; the Elantra has the most leg room in its class. It also has a wider wheelbase to give more shoulder room for both the front and rear seat passengers as well as 14.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Hyundai has also paid special attention to reduce the noise, vibration and harshness of the ride to ensure a smooth and quiet ride.

The available technology in the 2011 Elantra includes standard iPod/USB and auxiliary input jack as well as XM satellite radio. Every new Elantra comes with a three-month free trial of XM. The Limited version of the Elantra also includes electronic push button start, 7-inch navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free phone system and even a rearview camera. The Limited model also includes front and rear heated seats (a compact segment first), leather seating and a 360-watt audio system.

As far as safety goes the Hyundai Elantra is built with numerous safety features that are built to help you avoid accidents and protect you in case an accident does occur. Active safety features to prevent accidents include vehicle stability management system, electronic stability control, traction control system, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. All of these systems work independently as well as together to prevent accidents from happening in hazardous situations. In case of an accident the Elantra is equipped with six airbags- advanced driver and front passenger airbags with occupant classification system, driver and front passenger side-impact airbags and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags to protect the rear passengers. The 2011 Elantra is also built with front and rear crumple zones as well as front and rear bodyside reinforcements and rear dual beams.

Hyundai Readies New Models, Products For 2012

Hyundai Motors continues to advance its place in the U.S. market, rolling out new models and products at a dizzying pace. For 2011, the Sonata and Elantra are all new and the ultra-luxury Equus is now the flagship of the Hyundai's American fleet.

Don't expect Hyundai to let up on the new produce accelerator at any time soon, as what the automaker has planned for 2012 will top 2011's robust offerings. We've scoured Hyundai product planning data and have uncovered several "for certain" offerings scheduled for release by 2012:

Hyundai Elantra Coupe - Hyundai's compact sedan has been a hit, so much so that the automaker is considering importing additional capacity to supplement what it currently builds in Alabama. Competitively priced and equipped, the Elantra offers segment leading fuel economy, delivering an EPA estimated 29 mpg city, 40 mpg highway regardless of transmission choice. Sales of the Elantra now only trail the highly popular Sonata and will be boosted further when a coupe arrives in 2011. Look for the Elantra to continue to siphon sales from today's segment leaders identified as the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze and the Ford Focus.

Hyundai Veloster - Not since the Tiburon has Hyundai offered an entry level sport coupe. The Genesis coupe targets the Nissan 370Z buyer, but no model currently serves to attract buyers who may want an alternative to the Mitsubishi Lancer or even a low budget Ford Mustang. The Hyundai Veloster is designed to change all that, a three-door coupe like no other, with two doors on the passenger side and one door on the driver's side. Powered by a thrifty, but potent 1.6-liter four cylinder engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission, the first time Hyundai has developed such a shifter. Importantly, this 2+2 coupe is expected to get 40 mpg, keeping in line with the automaker's quest to offer more 40 mpg vehicles than any other manufacturer.

Hyundai Blue Link - One area where Hyundai has trailed the competition is in cabin technology, specifically hands-free smartphone access. GM Onstar, Toyota Entune and Ford SYNC are among the most popular hands-free offerings of our day, allowing customers to obtain directions, call ahead for reservations, request songs and accomplish other important tasks with their hands always on the wheel. Blue Link will include accident notification; stolen vehicle recovery; emergency assistance; remote vehicle lock, unlock and start; and other services. Three package plans will be made available when Blue Link debuts with the Hyundai Veloster and is quickly rolled out to other Hyundai models.

Hyundai Azera - Introduced in 2006, the Azera competes against the Toyota Avalon and Buick LaCrosse for customers desiring a larger five passenger premium sedan. Sales of the Azera have never been much to speak of, but for 2012 the Azera will be equipped with a more potent 3.3-liter V-6 engine, designed to increase horsepower and fuel efficiency. Details are sketchy, but this Azera will likely be based on the Hyundai Grandeur, already on sale in Korea. That model is paired with a manual shift automatic, providing customers with more engaged driving when desired.

2012 Honda Fit (Canada-spec)

Keeping in accordance with the refresh of the Fit/Jazz models across the world in Japan and Europe, Canada (and the United States) will be getting the same refreshed Fit model for 2012. The majority of the refresh seen in other worldwide countries on the Fit/Jazz will be seen on the Canadian model of the Fit. A slight change will happen in the front bumper as the Fit must go through federal Canadian safety regulations. The changes in wheels will also come to the 2012 Canadian Fit as well as an updated interior with less grey palour. The Fit will arrive in Canadian Honda dealer showrooms late this winter/2012.

2012 Honda Insight (Canada-spec)

Despite rumors of its pending death in Canada following disaster sales, (only a couple have been sold last month), and Honda's decision to not offer a 2011 version of the Insight, Honda Canada will be offering a 2012 edition of the Insight. This model will receive the same changes as the European Insight received for the 2011 model year. The Insight will be getting a better ride, increased interior comfort, slightly better fuel economy and a slight revision in terms of exterior styling. The LX model pricing is expected to remain the same while the EX model will receive premium touches with a slight bump in prices. The 2012 models of the Insight will roll out late this fall/winter.
